An estimated 80.000 million garments are made from virgin resources every year worldwide. In one year, the fashion industry produces 2 million tons of pre-consumer waste. Five percent of all landfill production is textile waste. Only in the US, consumers dumping an estimated 10 million tonnes of clothing annually.
